The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services to the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency stated it's alarmed in regards to the higher number of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a superior amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office dedicated to service the area each day. The service issue more info produced for intervention ordeals a superior influx of possible beneficiaries, that makes it challenging for your Workplace to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more methods to help the servicing of all prospects and increase use of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
